Workshops
The workshops by The Raahat Project cater to diverse audiences within the educational communities:
Building Bridges: Elevating LGBTQIA++ Allyship invites general university personnel and students on a journey of awareness and empowerment. Through interactive sessions, participants gain insights into gender and sexuality spectrums, confront biases, and cultivate a culture of empathy and respect.
Faculty Forum: Championing LGBTQIA++ Inclusion addresses the pivotal role of educators in creating safe and supportive spaces for LGBTQIA++ students. By understanding the unique life stressors and mental health needs of queer students, educators are equipped to combat discrimination and implement inclusive policies and practices.
Navigating Mental Health: Empowering LGBTQIA++ Students provides a safe and supportive space for LGBTQIA++ individuals to explore and address their mental health challenges. Through a holistic approach, participants delve into self-discovery journeys, resilience-building strategies, and effective coping mechanisms.
Young queer minds fellowship
The Young Queer Minds Fellowship (YQMP) envisions a future where every individual within the queer community finds space, support, and opportunity for growth. In a world often marred by discrimination and misunderstanding, the YQMP stands for inclusivity and empowerment.
The YQMP has two objectives; to equip fellows with essential leadership, advocacy, and communication skills to promote community awareness, and mental health awareness by connecting participants with mentors who understand their unique experiences and are committed to their success, and to combat stigma and discrimination within the LGBTQIA++ community.
